To get 150 extra days added to the term of your license, the following conditions must be met:
- The validity period of the license you want to renew must be three months or longer. If the license has been blocked or renewed before, it can't be renewed.
- To renew a license and get a bonus, you need to purchase a new license—one toward which no renewal discount has been applied. Its validity period must be 12 months or longer.
The second license can be registered either while the first license is still valid or after it has expired.
-
Click on the Dr.Web spider icon in the notification area. In the pop-up menu select License.
The menu that appears while the license is still valid
The menu that appears after the license has expired
If you previously registered a license and it is still valid, its serial number will appear in the License Manager.
In the subsequent License Manager window click the Buy or activate new license button.
-
The Registration Wizard dialogue will open. Enter a new serial number.
-
In the next dialogue that opens, select I will specify the previous license.
In the newly appeared window, enter the serial number or specify the location of the key file associated with the previous license.
By default, you are prompted to enter the serial number, but you can also specify the key file's location.
-
Fill out the registration form, and click Next.
-
Press OK.
The License Manager window will open.
Once you have registered a new serial number:
- The license you are renewing will be blocked (since it has been renewed).
- The new license will have its validity period increased by 150 days—this is how Doctor Web will reimburse you for the renewal discount you did not receive when you bought the new license.
- If you renewed a license that hasn't expired yet, its remaining validity period will be added to the validity period of your new license.
