   Why should I upgrade? The old version perfectly works.

   That’s right for the time being. There are several reasons of upgrade:

   • The new search module (drweb32.dll) is used in the new version. It has been supplemented with new packers (example: 4.30 – FSG packer), new archivers (example: 4.30 - LHA), new curing techniques (makes more sense for Windows versions). The old version cannot detect some new viruses (example: 4.29 does not detect Win32.HLLM.Dumaru, as it is FSG-packed).
      
   • Though the updates of the main version (4.29 and 4.30 have common main version 4.xx) are compatible their efficiency in detecting viruses for old versions with new updates is not tested.
