I bough a license for your anti-virus, registered it on your web-site and received a key file. Can I place it to any location and the program will work?
Of course, the key file should be placed to the definite location. If you downloaded a demo version of our anti-virus, the key file will be installed automatically into required location during the downloading of the program.
If a key file was sent to you via email as an attachment to the message from Dr.Web technical support service and has DWZ extension, you should double click this attachment and it will install itself to the required directory. Its right location is C:\Program Files\DrWeb\*****.key.
If you received a key file burnt onto a CD or written into a diskette, it will have a KEY extension and it should be copied into Dr.Web installation directory. Thee can also be an archive with the license key file burnt onto a CD or written into a diskette. In this case you should unpack the file from the archive and copy it to the Dr.Web installation directory - C:\Program Files\DrWeb\*****.key.

I have received an archive with the Dr.Web key file via e-mail but I cannot save it in my computer. I use Outlook Express to receive mails. What should I do to save it?
The problem lies in the settings of Outlook Express. By default, it does not allow to open or run attachments to e-mails. The Dr.Web key file is sent to users via e-mail as the attached archive and modern viruses usually come to computers of users in archives.
To save the received attachment with Dr.Web key file, select Tools/ Security tab in the Outlook Express menu and uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved..." box. Press the Ok button.
